My Struggle to Reset: How a Hard 2025 Is Fueling My 2026 Comeback

As the clock ticks toward midnight and we prepare to welcome 2026, I find myself reflecting on the year that’s coming to a close. If I’m honest—and as a leader, I believe honesty is where transformation begins—2025 wasn’t the year I hoped it would be.

Personally, I faced minor health challenges that reminded me how fragile life can feel. Professionally, my business struggled to stay afloat. We didn’t hit the client goals we set, and that reality weighed heavily on my team and me. Relationally, I didn’t feel like myself, so I pulled back instead of leaning in. And emotionally? Stress and anxiety became unwelcome companions. I didn’t exercise the way I should have, and I let the noise of life drown out the rhythms that keep me grounded.

I share this not for sympathy, but for solidarity. Leadership isn’t about pretending everything is perfect; it’s about modeling transparency and resilience. And here’s the truth: I’m ready for a reset.

2026 feels like a reprieve, a fresh canvas waiting for bold strokes of faith, courage, and renewal. I’m looking forward to reclaiming my health, reigniting my passion for relationships, and restoring balance to my emotional and spiritual life. I believe this next year will be a season of rebuilding, not just for my business, but for my soul.

“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)
This verse is my anchor as I step into 2026. I need renewed strength to lead myself well. I want to soar again, to run without the weight of exhaustion, and to walk with confidence in the purpose God has placed before me. That’s my commitment: to lead from a place of hope and restoration.

If you’ve had a tough year too, know this: you’re not alone. Let’s step into 2026 with hope, determination, and the belief that even after the hardest seasons, new life can bloom.

Here’s to a total reset. Here’s to grace. Here’s to growth.
